Banco Santander and the British Council are offering 10,000 free scholarships for online English training as part of the third and final call of the Santander | British Council Online English Course 2025. Applications are open until 2 December via Santander Open Academy.
The programme is open to anyone over 18 living in one of 13 countries, including Germany, regardless of whether they are a Santander customer. Participants can start from level A1 up to C1 and will benefit from flexible, high-quality training focused on real-life communication skills.
The course begins on 12 January 2026 with an 8-week phase for 10,000 learners, covering English for social and professional contexts, as well as grammar and pronunciation. The 1,500 best-performing students will then continue in an extended 20-week programme, with access to live online classes taught by British Council experts.
