Founded in 1961, the Cambridge Institut was Germany's first language institute specialising in the English language. Today, on approximately 680 square meters in the middle of Munich's Old Town, the Cambridge Institut offers English and German language training, both online and in person. Numerous satisfied and returning students testify to the quality of the language courses and the competence of the highly experienced and motivated trainers. While putting professionalism, subject expertise, and the highest quality standards at the core, the continuous development of training methods ensures optimal learning success.
"Our goal is to provide course participants with optimal support in realising their full language potential." - Philip Moore, Founder of Cambridge Institut
For more than 62 years, the Cambridge Institut has also operated as an examination centre for English language examinations, which are recognised as proof of qualified English language skills for educational or professional purposes, as well as examinations required for working or studying abroad. Exam formats range from online-proctored, to on-site computer-based, to paper-based at the test centre.
With regard to IELTS tests, Cambridge Institut conducts exam preparation training and became an official partner testing point for IELTS on computer in April 2022, offering regular test dates throughout the year. Since the first session in September 2022, numerous candidates have registered and taken the IELTS test at the test centre in Munich.
