"Play it again – An Amateur against the Impossible"
In 2010, Alan Rusbridger, the editor of the Guardian, set himself an almost impossible task: to learn, in the space of a year, Chopin's Ballade No. 1 - a piece that inspires dread in many professional pianists.
His book "Play it again - an amateur against the Impossible" is a celebration of the dedicated amateur and the transporting, enriching qualities of playing music, it's Alan Rusbridger's account of an extraordinary challenge and an extraordinary year. He will present it on Monday 21 September in Berlin.
