"Very British" is the theme of this year's culture weeks at Schwäbisch Hall which are kicked off with a jazz performance by Pete York on 13 September. The city is presenting high-quality contemporary UK culture until March 2019 and has invited authors such as Matt Haig, David Whitehouse and Ruth Ware, Jazz and folk musicians as well as visual artist Lucy Teasdale to perform and show their new works at their festival. The accompanying theatre festival (Freilichtspiele Schwäbisch Hall) presents Shakespeares “Twelfth Night” for the opening of a new Globe theatre building.
