A digital celebration of music, culture and creativity
Mix the City - the online platform that invites people all around the world to discover the sights and sounds of a different region and create their own mix - is back for the 2018 European Championships taking place simultaneously in Glasgow and Berlin this summer.
- Users can take part through a simple and intuitive audio-visual platform, travelling the world through music by uploading their own videos of musicians performinc in their cities.
- Mix the City will build a virtual bridge between Berlin and Glasgow by enabling users to mix sounds of both cities with each other, creating a rich and interesting soundtrack to the sporting events.
- The sound snippets are provided by musicians in both cities. They are being curated by Chemikal’s Alun Woodward in Glasgow and Popkultur’s Christian Morin in Berlin.
Mix the City Berlin/Glasgow also marks the first time Mix the City is coming to a city in the UK, where it was developed by the British Council’s Emmanuel Witzthum together with the two digital agencies Flying Object and Roll Studios.
