Our summer months have been filled with some amazing events

From dance performances to art and literature workshops, the #UKGermany2018 August programme had many highlights.

With the performance of Autobiography one of the most outstanding dance companies in Europe, Wayne McGregor, joined Kampnagel's summer festival this August. We were thrilled to experience our UK/Germany 2018 affiliate partner's unique performance in Hamburg this July. ©

Our affiliate partner, Museum Frieder Burda hosted an art and literature workshop to take a different look on their current art exhibition. The seminar brought together #BritLitMunich author Nancy Campbell, artists Flavio de Marco and Sissel Tolaas and journalist Thomas Böhm for an inspiring exchangeon what it means to write and to create with nature in our times. ©

Chemnitz and Leeds came together in a music programme this August: the two cities are focusing on exploring musical aspects in education and have built a partnership to explore its benefits further. As part of this partnership, a unique exchange brought young musicians from Chemnitz ("Rock’n’Strings) and Leeds ("Roots Alive")  together to not only play music but also exchange ideas.
The 2018 Wiesbaden Biennale focused on the relationship between metropolises and regions away from the big centres. In the programme were the three extraordinary British performances "You’re not alone” by Kim Noble, "My big sister taught me this lapdance" by Rosana Cade and "Workshy" by Katy Baird, which we were delighted to support. ©
