Introducing Sabrina Mahfouz to Dresden

Sabrina Mahfouz blew our audience away at this year's BriLitBerlin 2018, when she shared her experience of writing about gender and feminism with us. Now she's back in Germany to read to audiences in Dresden and to reflect on her own artistic progress as well as social and political issues that are close to her heart.

Celebrated as 'one of the rising stars of new British playwrighting', British-Egyptian author Sabrina Mahfouz besides being famous for her plays, is also known as a poet and socially engaged essayist in her British home country. The much awarded author will read a selection of her work and will talk about her views on British society in all its many facets. The event is hosted by Mirjam Frotscher and Wieland Schwanebeck.

We are delighted to welcome her back to Germany and to support her evening of readings and discussion in Dresden as part of our UK/Germany 2018 season.
