Roger Robinson makes music, words, performances, recordings and combinations of these things. His band The Easy Rockers were presented at the 2005 Sonar Festival in Barcelona . He was also chosen by Decibel as one of 50 writers who have influenced the Black-British writing canon over the past 50 years.

Rita Ray and Max Reinhardt are the globe-trotting founder DJs of the internationally renowned Afrobeat collective, The Shrine. During Shrine events, invited musicians, rappers, dancers and visual artists jam over the foundation of Max and Rita's loops and beats. The Shrine Synchro System has toured internationally from Moscow to Caracas , often for the British Council.
Max Reinhardt is a multi-facetted artist. Some of his roles include musical director/composer (including children's theatre and BBC TV), club DJ, music writer/columnist, CD compiler, radio presenter/contributor/consultant (BBC World Service/In Flight/BBC Radio 2 & 3).
Together with Rita Ray, he's put together a host of innovative club nights in London and beyond. They both co-present The African Music Review on the BBC World Service.
Rita plays in collaboration with Joanna McGregor and Shri or DJ'ing at the Big Chill where she has been a regular since the festival started. After hosting last year's WOMAD coverage on BBC4, she is currently narrating The African Rock and Roll Years on the same channel. Rita co-hosted the first 2 BBC Radio 3 Awards for World Music.
Percussionist and composer Johannes Alfred Mehnert, who has worked with Gilles Peterson and Little Louis Vega among others, will add his rhythms to the Mix.
After the performance at the British Council, the Shrine DJs and Roger Robinson will join Jazzanova on invitation of Best-Works on their mission to bring the dance floor at Club Bohannon to the boiling point. Please join them as of 10pm, Dircksenstr. 40, Berlin-Mitte. Roger Robinson will perform "Dream keepa" from Secret Love 2, a Jazzanova/Resoul compilation, which will be released on 31 October.
