Senior Adviser at Finmeccanica, Angelo Airaghi is also Chairman of Ansaldo Energia and of other companies involved in high-tech business. He is a member of several international panels and scientific organisations and is Chairman of the European Advisory Group on the Information Society Technologies (ISTAG) on behalf of the European Commission. He is a member of the Board of Confindustria and a Professor at the Rome University Tor Vergata.

Maija Berndtson

Maija Berndtson is the director of Helsinki City Library since 1987. She has held posts as librarian and Deputy Library Director in both Helsinki and Espoo. She was the Secretary General of the Finnish Library Association from 1984 to1987 and Vice President from 1989 to 1991. She was member of the International Network of Public Libraries run by the Bertelsmann Foundation in 1998-2001 and wrote the 'Management Self-Assessment' report in 1999 and 'Dreaming the future. Some Funky Ideas on Managing Tomorrow's Library' in 2001.

She has written many articles in both Finnish and foreign library journals and books and has lectured at domestic and international seminars and conferences.
