| We support professional development of librarians and information experts in Germany and the UK through a programme of study visits to a library in the other country.
The objective of this placement programme is to provide an opportunity to gain new insights into work processes in the other library and make new experiences which will be useful for one's own work, ideally also in relation to special projects. Participants in the programme will receive a travel grant. Some knowledge of the other language is required.
The programme is managed in close co-operation with Bibliothek und Information International and the Chartered Institute for Library and Information Professionals.
Expressions of interest should be directed to the office of Bibliothek und Information International. Application forms can be downloaded from BII’s website. Interested colleagues from the UK may want to get in touch with Julie Robinson at CILIP beforehand for further information and advice.
