  • English through music
Material has been prepared for publication by Auer Verlag as a "do it yourself" guide for the teacher and was issued to coincide with the start of the academic year in August 2005. The technique introduces key elements of basic English, in song lyric form, spoken in unison to the accompaniment of a backing-track, or beat. The work includes twenty original lyrics covering a variety of topics, such as animals, colours or seasons, arranged into varying levels of skill. The accompanying audio CD includes five, specially composed and recorded tracks, each of which is presented as a backing-track (no vocals) and as a complete recording (with vocals) using five of the lyrics as an example. In practice, each of the twenty lyrics may be used with any of the five backing-tracks. The music is in current Hip-Hop and R&B style.
