New BritLit primary kit on teaching English web site

There is a new 'BritLit' primary kit live on the www.teachingenglish.org.uk website. The kit is based around the theme of Jack and the Beanstalk and has a huge collection of photocopiable resources (40 +) and PowerPoint presentations that teachers can use in class.

'BritLit' was originally a British Council Portugal project in conjunction with the Portuguese Association of English Teachers, designed to work with school teachers using British literature in the ELT classroom. It started in 2002 with the provision of materials for 15 to 17 year old students to work on contemporary short stories. Now BritLit projects based in different countries have been established, including all levels of language from the requirements of teachers working with 7 year olds to those teaching 18 year olds.

You can download the new Jack and the Beanstalk materials from www.teachingenglish.org.uk/download/britlit/jack/jack.shtml
