English Language Teaching Conference

Current trends and future directions in English language teaching

This event will examine current trends in the learning and teaching of English. Through exchanging expertise and developing networks across Germany and Europe , the event will contribute to the sharing of best practice to map out future directions which respond to the needs and perspective of the learner, the teacher, educational institutions and the wider 'market'.

It is aimed at teacher trainers, education managers, researchers, and teachers of English in Germany and other European countries.

We are expecting speakers from 11 countries.

The sub themes of the conference are

  • Early English and transition
  • ICT (Information and Communication Technology)
  • CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning)
  • Promoting learner autonomy

The 2004 conference attracted speakers and participants from 17 countries and all over Germany, at the 2005 conference 15 nationalities were present. Click here to read some reactions from participants to the last conference.
