Admissions Requirements:
Undergraduate admissions requirements for students completing the Abitur are to achieve 1.8 and must include "gut" in Maths & English. Matura students should average 80% across 3 extended subjects with no less than 75% in each extended subject (studies must include maths) +EC or school leaving equivalent.
For postgraduate study you should have a good honours degree from a recognised institution. Students applying for MSc programmes in finance or management or an MBA will need to complete a GMAT as well as an IELTS or TOEFL if appropriate.

Entry requirements

English language
Applicants whose first language is not English need to satisfy the University’s English language requirement:
- For courses in the College of Science and Engineering we ask for a minimum of 6.0 IELTS or TOEFL pbt 550/ ibt 80.
- For all other courses we require a score of 6.5 IELTS or TOEFL 575/90 or above, except for:
- Law courses which require 7.0 IELTS or TOEFL 600/100,
- Our foundation courses which require 5.0 IELTS or TOEFL 510/64, and
- Our Pre-Masters Diploma in Communications, Media and English as a Foreign Language for which we require 5.5 or TOEFL 525/70.
As well as the internationally-known IELTS and TOEFL tests, the University also accepts many other English language qualifications. Please contact the International Office where staff will be happy to advise you.

Undergraduate degrees
The German Abitur is acceptable for entry to undergraduate programmes at King’s. The grades acceptable vary from programme to programme, from a score of 1.3 to 1.7 overall with subject preferences. Entry Requirements:
For Undergraduate degrees, entry requirements vary depending on the course, in general we require an overall score between 2.5 and 1.5 in the Arbitur and in the Polish Matura an overall average of between 65%-80%. For International Baccalaureate candidates, depending on the course, we require between 34-38 points.
For Postgraduate degrees, we require the equivalent of a good UK Honours degrees. In some cases a degree in a relevant subject area is required.

Admissions requirements
For entry into UCL’s undergraduate degree programmes, students who hold the International Baccalaureate, the European Baccalaureate or the Abitur/Zeugnis der Allgemeinen Hochschulreife with good grades will be considered. Specific grade requirements vary depending on the individual programme.
The award of the Diplom/Magister Artium/Erstes Staatsexamen or a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised institution with good grades is acceptable for application to graduate programmes at UCL.
