Programmes offered:
Aston University offers a range of programmes at Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degree level. All of our programes start in September/October each year. We have four schools of study;

  • The Aston Business School, offers programmes in Business, Management, Finance, Law, Economics, Accounting and the Aston MBA. We also offer a two-year European Masters in Management (EMM) programme in partnership with EM Lyon University and Ludwig-Maximilians Universitat Munchen
  • The School of Engineering & Applied Science, offers programmes in Chemistry, Electronic Engineering, Product Design, Logistics, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science and Supply Chain Management
  • The School of Life & Health Sciences, offers programmes in Pharmacy, Optometry, Audiology, Biology, Biomedical Science, Psychology, Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Science
  • The School of Languages & Social Science, offers programmes in French, German, Spanish, International Relations, Sociology, Translations Studies, European Studies, English Language, Politics, Linguistics and TESOL Studies

Admissions requirements:
Aston University considers a wide range of qualifications for entry onto our Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree programmes.

  • For Undergraduate study: Aston will consider holders of A-levels, International Baccalaureate, European Baccalaureate, Advance Placements, Lithuanian Brandos Atestatos, Polish Matura and German Abitur amongst others. Each programme will have specific entry requirements but, on average, in the German Abitur we would require an overall score of between 2.0 and 1.5 with no subject score less than 10, in the Lithuanian Brandos Atestatos we would require an overall score of between 8 and 9 out of 10 and in the Polish Matura we would require an overall score of about 80% with no less than 70% in extended level subjects

  • For Postgraduate study: Aston will look for a good honours degree in a related field

  • English Language Requirements: Aston University considers a wide range of English language qualifications for entry. For IELTS, our requirements are IELTS 5.5 for entry onto a Foundation programme, IELTS 6.0-6.5 for entry onto an Undergraduate degree and IELTS 6.5-7.0 for entry onto a Postgraduate degree. A strong Arbitur or Polish Matura English score may be accepted in lieu of IELTS

Courses
LSE offers undergraduate and postgraduate level degree programmes in a wide range of social science subjects.

Admissions Requirements
At undergraduate level LSE requires a minimum score of 1.5 overall, but standard offers vary depending on the degree subject and often require scores between 1.2 and 1.5.

For postgraduate study LSE requires the Magister Artium, Diplom or Erstes Staatsexamen in an appropriate subject with 2.2/gut or a high 'vollbefriedigend'. Candidates can also be considered if they have the Zwischenprüfung/Vordiplom and a third year of substantive study with good grades.
