drama & dance
We organise and support study tour visits for selected German theatre and dance specialists. We invite German drama and dance contacts to showcases such as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the National
Review of Live Art.
visual arts, design& architecture
We foster long-term relationships and professional partnerships between German gallerists, curators and specialists with British artists and institutions. We provide information to professionals about new developments in the UK, support showcase and festival visits and organise study tours for selected German specialists.
film & Video
Our film and video projects reflect regional initiatives and international projects. Formats range from animation to music video, shorts, recent features and digital work. We inform German film festival organisers about recent trends and developments in the British scene.
music
Our music projects range from new music, early music, improvisation and jazz to electronica and club culture.

Literature
We organise seminars on current themes of contemporary British literature and bring authors, translators, teachers and professors, publishers and journalists together. We also inform about new trends and developments in the British literature scene.

Funding

A joint three-year programme between the British Council and Arts Council England which will support individual artists based in England to work internationally is open for applications as of 1 March 2012. The Artists International Development Fund will provide grants of between £1,000 to £5,000 for artists to travel, explore and collaborate internationally while carrying out professional projects.
